The month of Sawan is here and a heavenly feeling of delight is prevailing all over India!The rains,the greenery,the Kanwardias,fetching Ganga Jal(The water from the Ganges,The holy river of India)to offer to  Lord Shiva,One of The Trinities,the chantings Of  Har Har Mahadev(Glory of Shiva)is very fulfilling and nourishing.Month long celebration have begun and so has our celestial month long spiritual journey.I wonder at the centuries old traditions of India!I really do!

I Am Here

William Wordsworth and his sister,Dorothy ,Wandered and wondered.They wondered at the sights and the sounds of the beautiful woods,the perpetual Presence of the unseen,the Bliss of Solitude,and the enchanting flora and fauna.That Presence is felt at times even now when I feel the forceful forces of Nature,twitter of the birds,the murmuring of the breeze,the grandeur of the trees,the humility of the grass and the beauty of the flowers!I really wonder,as the unheard,.unseen, reverberates, I Am Here!I am here,perpetually,eternally!

Meghdootam(The clouds)

Kalidas,The Sanskrit dramatist,has personified the clouds as The messenger of love,romance,longings for the loved one!As the dark clouds spread over the sky,we are full of expectations!There is romance in the air.When the heavenly showers fall over the flora and fauna,we feel like saying,Badlo Jara Jam Ke Barso(Oh clouds,shower with full force!)When The Rains and The Thunder and The Lightening and The Dark Night merge,I wonder!Is This The Presence?Is This The God Himself?And my heart says,yes,You have felt Him!

I Belong To The Universe And The Universe Belongs To Me

The Aura of The Universe,It's vivaciousness,immensity and above all,it's Presence make me ecstatic.The feeling that I'm a part of The Universe is the best part of my transitory life.Will I be a part of this wonderful world when I pass  away?? Are my departed parents,brothers still around?I wonder!

Life is Beautiful

Yes!Life,indeed, is beautiful!These are the words,uttered by The Don,of The Godfather,in the famous novel,and these three words have enraptured me time and again. Through the feelings of ecstasy as well sorrow ,we experience the meaning of Life!It's, great to be born as human beings. Every moment,every lamha,is to be celebrated.Life is a festival.This is my conclusion after going through the ups and downs of my existence in this wonderful world.I wonder why I still feel like Lucy Gray(a little innocent girl,made immortal by William Wordsworth,in his poems}?Why do I still think that We Are Seven!We Were Seven!,Now we are only three!I wonder,when?

Staring

What's this life if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
So,I stared today,
Stared at the lavish,lovable trees,
Beautiful birds,twittering seven sisters,
I stared at the sky,The floating clouds!
And,Lo!
I went into meditation,felt the bliss of
Solitude,heard the Music of Life,
The Eternal Life!

I'm thankful

I'm thankful,thankful to Nidhi and Siddhartha,my children,both Software Engineers, who  introduced me to the wonderful world of internet.I'm thankful to my second half, who gifted me a lap top.I'm thankful to you who is going through my posts!I'm thankful,really.I mean it!

My father and his mysterious laughter

My father,Col Randhir Singh,had an adorable laughter!He laughed away all his sorrows!Yes,after having a glorious and illustrious career in the Army,fighting at the front as a soldier of the British Troops in Burma,he got a bullet in his knee,and he was in pain all his life!He spent his life as a retiree in serving others,helping all the villagers.Daddy,I love you!I'm proud of being your daughter!
