The Caravan

Born as the fourth child,and that too,as a girl,and as the girl child is seldom welcomed in our country,I met the same fate.I was the third daughter in the family and so the things were not cherished.My father being in the Army, was away from home for long periods and the entire load of bringing up all the seven children was borne by her(I had one younger sister and two younger brothers as well).My mother was a very hard working and intelligent lady.Though illiterate,she saw,the importance of education and send all of us to a far away school,and looked after us well.I salute you,my dear,departed mother and wish you all the best,wherever you are.My love and respect for you is perpetual.I miss you more now as your grandson is marrying in Feb.next year.Please bestow your blessings on us on the approaching auspicious day Thanks, Ma,for everything you did for us.Always grateful,I am your loving daughter,Simply Shanta!

Made in Heaven,Celebrated on Earth

Yes,that's an often quoted proverb.Is it true?Is there Heaven?The entire fights,conflicts,even Jihad,slaying of the innocent children,women,men,even animals are being anchored in the name of Allah,Paramatma,God.Does The Presence,of Whom William Wordsworth often lyrics about, pervades The Universe?Where is That Presence when the heinous crimes against the children,women,animals are being perpetrated?I Wonder!

Are these the Celebrations on Earth?I keep on wondering and feel like Alice In The Wonderland!

My Hobby

Gardening is a favorite hobby of mine.Any nature lover and Gardener knows the rewards of loving and being one with the wonderful Creations of The Creator.Having been born in a Hamlet,I have had the pleasure of roaming in the fields,cherishing the taste of raw mangoes,berries,melons,mulberries,peaches and many other fruits.I often quote that God made the country and man made the town.After marriage I have the displeasure of living in a man made town.While I indulge in the gardening,I feel the inner serenity .I am a blessed Soul as I have space to pursue my love for potted plants.Will I ever get a field f mine in which I would be able to grow the orchards?I Wonder!

The Changeover

Enveloped in melancholy,I feel choked,anguished,dejected as well as paralytic!I can't comprehend the negative attitude towards a simply,simple Shanta!Is this some sort of a critically ambiguous situation? I have to prove my ideology,my concern my love for the others,my philosophy of Life that make others happy if you wish to be happy too difficult to be understood by my fellow travelers?Will this philosophy end when I sleep forever?I wonder!
I'm no longer enveloped in morose,dismal.,as I've come to know The The Purpose of Lie.I am enjoying The Universe to The Fullest!

I love my Gypsy look.The tribal,traditional necklace,beautiful wrist band and the dangles delight me!Great feeling of possessing such antique pieces of metal.Would I be as happy,satisfied,if I were getting Gold,Diamond or platinum necklace,wrist band or dangles??? I Wonder!!!

Siddharth and Neelakshi

Blogging after a long period.It's a wonderful feeling that Siddhartha has agreed to wed Neelakshi.Both of them are working as engineers in Bangalore.I am very glad that my relatives are coming from far and wide The wedding is going to be a gala affair.I am looking forward to the fun and frolic on 21 feb.Nidhi,my daughter, is quite excited.Will my fur babies enjoy the festivities?? I wonder!
