The Slaying of a Soul

When the soul of an individual is slain,something snaps inside.What if the slayer is your own blood,a person whom you love,admire and wish him well,in all spheres of life,wish to journey with him,.love,him,admire him and need his solace at every step of your journey-of-life.As we get older,we need respect from others,not hurting words that pierce our souls,our minds,our egos,as, more we experience others, more we become sensitive,emotional and vulnerable.Our body becomes fragile.We have to be handled with care as we step towards our final destination,that is The death or we may call it The Birth into another Life,We are told that only The Soul leaves The Body.The Soul,The Spirit needs gaiety,happiness,solace.The soul does not wish to be hurt,annoyed.We need euphoria,delight,jubilation.We need to be respected,We are coming to The Final Stage of our Lives.Love us and let us take our final steps with our head held high.That's all we ask of you!

Bring This On

What?What are you asking The Presence to bring on?!

Our life has two sides,Like a coin!Thomas Hardy,the author,says,Life is a general drama of pain,having a few episodes of happiness!The Pain is ours,none can take it away!Happiness is to be shared.We are enthralled,when The Joy is ours,we may be a bit jealous,when others are going through a lighter phase of their lives.

What about The General Drama of Pain!Should we be disgusted,frustrated,annoyed!Remember,Life is a drama,We all have our roles to play.We are Puppets,Kites.We have a Producer,a Director! Our strings are being manipulated by The Supreme!Only,Paramatma,Allah know our Life,our joys,our sorrows.or troubles.
tell God to Bring on all the colours.That would complete our lives,our living would be worthwhile.Our journey,Sweet and Sour would bring on our Life full!Bye for now!

Me And Myself

Me and myself confuse my mind!Me is to express myself,my musings,my life,my people,my ambiance,likes, loves.You see now,how bewildered I am!How to express myself is,unhinging me.I was expected to be born as a male child.Unfortunately,I took birth as a female!Isn't a female as worthwhile as a male in our Indian Society?The answer is a big yes!When I began my schooling in a co-educational school,I felt inferior to the boys in my class.I must have been about five years of age,and I dreamed of becoming a boy by exchanging the genitals.Hope you guess my trauma at a tender age of five.Why did I have such thoughts in my mind?I had younger male siblings,who were being looked after better,who were getting more love from my family!
 The trauma of this poor female is still there ,as my life partner thinks rather too highly of himself and his family!
Where do Me and Myself stand?I Wonder!
 I feel like Alice in Wonderland,but it's okay with me.Me,myself and my Life is quite synchronized and Me loves Myself!Yes I love myself and thats'enough for Shanta Slaria!

The Thanksgiving

Just now,I came to know about this customary Dinner in America and Canada!It consists of a roasted Turkey and other Native American Foods.The first Thanksgiving Dinner included waterfowl,venizen,fish,lobster,clams,berries,fruit,pumpkin and squash.Thanksgiving Day was declared a
National Holiday by Abraham Lincoln,The great President of America.
Why and whom do we thank on The thanksgiving Day?
Many people trace the origin of The Day to the harvest celebrations that the Pilgrims held in Plymouth in Massachusetts.However The First Thanksgiving was in sixteen hundred and twenty three A.D.when they gave thanks to The Rains that ended The Drought!
In India,we worship the Lord of Harvest,on various occasions,in various forms,in different ways,celebrating with great enthusiasm and faith..Baisakhi and Onam are a few examples.
In our country,Life is full of festivities

My Parents

My parents came to their Life Journey's ultimate Destination(They passed away)while they were in the eighties!My father served the Indian army after his graduation from The Lahore Degree college!He joined The Army as a Sepoy as The Indians were not allowed to be Officers under The British rule!He was a brilliant recruit and rose to the rank of an Amy officer(Lt Col).He served with Manak Shah,The famous officer of the Infantry Unit of The Forces.They took part in The Second World War but my father got a bullet in his knee while he was fighting against The Japanese in the world war and left the infantry and joined The Army Education Core.He rose to become C.O.(Commanding Officer).He is my Idol.I adore him.
My mother was a simple,illiterate lady who loved and respected him immensely.I have very sweet memories of her.

I wish lots of Happiness in their afterlife!I love my parents!
The love for Nature Was inherited from my parents!

The Caravan

Born as the fourth child,and that too,as a girl,and as the girl child is seldom welcomed in our country,I met the same fate.I was the third daughter in the family and so the things were not cherished.My father being in the Army, was away from home for long periods and the entire load of bringing up all the seven children was borne by her(I had one younger sister and two younger brothers as well).My mother was a very hard working and intelligent lady.Though illiterate,she saw,the importance of education and send all of us to a far away school,and looked after us well.I salute you,my dear,departed mother and wish you all the best,wherever you are.My love and respect for you is perpetual.I miss you more now as your grandson is marrying in Feb.next year.Please bestow your blessings on us on the approaching auspicious day Thanks, Ma,for everything you did for us.Always grateful,I am your loving daughter,Simply Shanta!

Made in Heaven,Celebrated on Earth

Yes,that's an often quoted proverb.Is it true?Is there Heaven?The entire fights,conflicts,even Jihad,slaying of the innocent children,women,men,even animals are being anchored in the name of Allah,Paramatma,God.Does The Presence,of Whom William Wordsworth often lyrics about, pervades The Universe?Where is That Presence when the heinous crimes against the children,women,animals are being perpetrated?I Wonder!

Are these the Celebrations on Earth?I keep on wondering and feel like Alice In The Wonderland!
